Montalbano Scholars Fellowship

The Montalbano Scholars Fellowship provides awards of $10,000 to outstanding PhD students in earth and ocean sciences or ocean-related fields such as maritime law, engineering, or natural and social sciences. Recipients must already hold federal tri-agency scholarships from NSERC, SSHRC, or CIHR. The fellowship recognizes excellence in ocean-related research and provides additional financial support to top doctoral candidates. Approval of recipients is made by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee at the University of Victoria. No separate application is required as awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units.
