Montrose Environmental Indigenous Student Award (in Memory of Tyler Swaren)

Established in 2022, the Montrose Environmental Indigenous Student Award – In Memory of Tyler Swaren is available to students enrolled full-time in the 1st or 2nd year of an Environmental Sciences program at Lakeland College's Vermilion campus. The award recognizes Indigenous students who demonstrate academic achievement and are residents of Alberta or Saskatchewan. Applicants must be pursuing studies in Environmental Sciences and demonstrate commitment to their educational and career goals in this field. The award honors the memory of Tyler Swaren and supports Indigenous students in their pursuit of environmental studies education.
