About This Opportunity

Moorditj Yorga means 'strong woman' in Noongar language, and this scholarship will support mature-aged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to enter and succeed at Curtin University. It recognises and celebrates the contributions of First Nations women to their families and communities, and that applicants will bring their diverse life experience and knowledge as a recipient of this scholarship. The scholarship is designed specifically for Indigenous women aged 25 or older who are commencing or currently undertaking a pathway course or undergraduate degree at Curtin University. Special provisions exist for students from the Eastern Guruma Native Title Group (near Karratha), who can study any field, while other applicants must be studying specific courses.
