Moore High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship

The Moore High Achiever Undergraduate Scholarship was established in 2024 by Stephen and Hisae Moore to encourage and support first-year students who attended high Equity Index secondary schools or kura. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students beginning an undergraduate degree in a major or specialisation offered by either the School of Chemical Sciences or the Department of Physics at the University of Auckland. The scholarship provides up to $10,000 to help with study costs during the first year of enrollment in a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Advanced Science Honours (BAdvSci(Hons)), or a conjoint degree incorporating these programs. One scholarship is offered annually with a tenure of one year. The scholarship is specifically designed to support students from schools with high Equity Index ratings, promoting access to higher education in the sciences for students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
