About this opportunity
The Morgridge Foster Care Scholarship is available to new freshmen at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who are or have been in foster care or kinship care. This renewable scholarship provides full tuition coverage for up to four academic years after the initial academic year. For the first year, it also covers on-campus housing costs. The scholarship is designed to support qualified undergraduate students who have been admitted to UWM and have demonstrated community service. Applicants must demonstrate federal financial need based on FAFSA completion. Preference is given to graduates of a Milwaukee area high school. Students must have been in foster care, kinship care, or been a dependent or ward of the court between ages 13 and 18, or have had both parents deceased during that time period.
