About This Opportunity

The Morgridge Scholarship for Fostering Success is intended to provide scholarships to undergraduate students who participate in the Fostering Success program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The scholarship fills any gap in funding a student may face after all other financial aid is awarded, covering up to the total cost of on-campus housing, books, other education-related fees, and full tuition. The scholarship is renewable for up to five years as long as the student continues to participate in the Fostering Success program or its successor program. Applicants must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree-seeking program as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior and be an active participant in the Fostering Success program. Additionally, applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 and remain enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits. Students must also submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by February 1 for the following academic year, including taking action to submit additional requested documentation for federal financial aid to be determined. The Fostering Success program provides support services to students who have experienced foster care, and this scholarship is designed to support their educational journey by ensuring financial barriers do not prevent their academic success. The maximum annual award amount is $3,000.
