About this opportunity
The Morris & Miriam Marden Undergraduate Award in Mathematics is awarded to one or more outstanding undergraduate majors in Mathematics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, and Computer Science within the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Priority in the selection process is given to students who submit an outstanding paper on a mathematical topic, with both quality of exposition and mathematical content being evaluated. Papers may have been originally written for coursework, independent study, or other purposes. Applicants who choose not to submit a paper may also be considered based on their academic record at the discretion of the faculty review committee. Second-degree students and students graduating in the same spring or summer when awards are given are not eligible. Applications are reviewed in spring for the following fall semester payment.
