University College London Original Source

About This Opportunity

This is a one-year studentship for students undertaking the MSc Social Epidemiology programme at UCL. The studentship provides financial support towards tuition fees for outstanding candidates pursuing graduate studies in social epidemiology. The award is made on the basis of experience, qualifications and future academic potential, which will be assessed by an applicant's curriculum vitae and personal statement. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to write a 2000-word essay on a pre-defined public health topic. The studentship will be awarded upon the recommendation of an academic selection panel. The studentship consists of £2,500 towards tuition fees for the 2026/27 academic year. The recipient will be expected to secure the remaining part of their tuition fees and to cover their living costs from elsewhere. The award may be held alongside other scholarships, studentships, awards or bursaries, but cannot be transferred to another institution or deferred to a later year. Studentship payments will only be made if the recipient is fully enrolled in the MSc Social Epidemiology programme at UCL.
