Métis Scholar Awards

The Métis Scholar Awards are awarded to full-time students enrolled in any NorQuest College Career program who demonstrate financial need and maintain academic standing. This award specifically supports students of Métis heritage who are Canadian citizens and Alberta residents. Recipients must maintain an academic standing of 64%/C/2.0 or higher and submit a personal letter describing their educational goals and career objectives. Proof of Métis status must be provided through membership documentation from recognized Métis organizations or genealogical evidence. Students receiving Rupertsland Institute (RLI) Métis Training to Employment sponsorship or those who are registered or treaty Indians are not eligible. Students may only receive this award once per academic year.
