About this opportunity
The Métis Scholars' Award is awarded to students who are Métis people of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in a professional or graduate program with differential fees (non-direct entry) at the University of Alberta. Selection is based on academic standing, indicated financial need and demonstrated involvement in the Métis community. In order to qualify for these awards, students cannot also be eligible for awards or funding designated for registered or treaty Indians. A student cannot receive this award and the Métis Nation of Alberta (MNA) Labour Market Development sponsorship in the same academic year.
