Muriel Shortreed Scholarship in Family and Consumer Studies

The Muriel Shortreed Scholarship in Family and Consumer Studies is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the third or fourth year of studies in the Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology (Family Ecology major). The recipient will be selected on the basis of academic standing achieved during the previous year of studies. Preference will be given to a student who has shown interest in the area of family finance. This scholarship is an endowed fund established by Muriel Shortreed, a graduate of the Household Economics program at the University of Alberta. Students can receive this scholarship one time only.
