Muriel Shortreed Scholarship in Textiles and Clothing

The Muriel Shortreed Scholarship in Textiles and Clothing is awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the fourth year of the BSc. in Human Ecology with a major in Clothing, Textiles and Material Culture at the University of Alberta. The recipient must have successfully completed three design courses and will be selected on the basis of academic standing. This endowed scholarship was established by Muriel Shortreed, a graduate of the Household Economics program at the University of Alberta, to support students in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life & Environmental Sciences pursuing studies in textiles and clothing design.
