About this opportunity

The Murray Lindsay Memorial bursary honours Mr. Murray Lindsay, an Edmonton-born Chartered Accountant who dedicated his life to family, his profession, and especially his volunteer work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton. This bursary is specifically designed for young people who participated in Boys & Girls Clubs and/or Big Brothers Big Sisters programs during their formative years. This award is available to full-time students enrolled in any certificate, diploma, applied degree, or degree program at NAIT. The bursary is awarded based on demonstrated financial need and requires a minimum GPA of 3.3 in the previous semester, whether from high school or post-secondary studies. Murray Lindsay was known for his wonderful dry sense of humor and optimistic outlook on life. He believed life was meant to be lived and cherished, encouraging others to approach life with positivity and openness: 'There is good and bad out there! Dive in with a positive outlook and be open to communication as you strive for happiness and success!' This bursary carries forward his legacy of supporting youth development and educational achievement.
