Murray McNae Scholarship

The Murray McNae Scholarship provides financial support for a Mana College school leaver intending to study at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington to pursue studies in Computer Science or Software Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) or in general Science (Bachelor of Science). While preference will be given to these career paths, consideration may also be given for a degree involving a significant Information Systems component. The scholarship is valued at $18,000 and will be awarded each year to one student, with payments being spread over 3 years. Selection is based on both the demonstration of interest and promise in the subject of computer science or general science, and of financial need. Year 1 includes $6,000 towards fees and a $3,000 stipend as a one-off payment, Year 2 includes $6,000 towards fees, and Year 3 includes a $3,000 stipend. The scholarship will be primarily directed towards tuition fees and stipends to support students from Mana College pursuing STEM degrees at Victoria University of Wellington.
