About this opportunity

This grant supports composition and creative production across all music genres in Norway. The program aims to enable composers and musicians to create new music and productions that involve artistically demanding and costly work. It provides funding to cover fees and artistic costs for composition work including score-based or performer-based composition, studio or digital platform composition and production, collaborative composition between composers and musicians, and other forms of composition. The program also supports participation from artists in other fields contributing to creative work, such as video and visual artists, scenographers, photographers, writers, performance artists, and artistic producers. Scenic concert productions for interdisciplinary or music-dramatic works are also eligible. The goal is to make new musical works in Norway accessible to the public through concert presentations and dissemination platforms.
