About this opportunity

This grant supports the recording and release of music that has a special need for support or is important to document and make accessible for music-historical reasons. The program aims to contribute to the recording and release of music with specific support needs or that is historically important to preserve and make accessible. Eligible projects include composition music from Norway (particularly score music, orchestral works, and electroacoustic compositions), music for children and young people, music documenting performance traditions in Norway (Norwegian or Sami folk music and musical traditions of national minorities), and traditional music from Norway's multicultural music scene. The program is administered by the Arts Council Norway (Kulturrådet) and evaluates applications based on artistic/professional content, project quality, relevance to the program's purpose, and feasibility.
