About this opportunity
This is a NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) fellowship opportunity focused on the DAVINCI mission to Venus. The fellowship involves multi-scale descent imaging analysis of Venus landscapes at unprecedented scales, particularly the tesserae highlands. The selected applicant will evaluate quantitative geomorphological investigations of landscape systems on Earth to inform Venus investigations and develop models to test hypotheses for Venus-relevant regions. Work will involve analogue DEM datasets from Earth and descent imaging data from Mars Curiosity and Perseverance Rovers. The NASA Postdoctoral Program offers one- to three-year competitive fellowships designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. Fellows engage in ongoing NASA research projects at NASA Centers, Headquarters, or NASA-affiliated research institutes.
