About This Opportunity

The Nairn Care Experienced Undergraduate Scholarship is offered by the University of Strathclyde to support care-experienced students pursuing undergraduate education. Care-experienced refers to anyone who has been or is currently in care, such as in foster care, residential care, kinship care, or at home under a supervision order, and includes adopted children who were previously in care. Five scholarships are available for new undergraduate care-experienced students starting at the University of Strathclyde in Academic Year 2026/27. Each scholarship is valued at £3,000 and can be used to help with equipment and study costs, internship work placement or project costs, living costs, travel costs, and tuition fees. Applicants must be classed as Home/rUK for fee purposes, hold a firm offer for full-time undergraduate study at the University of Strathclyde for 2026/27 entry, and be care-experienced with declaration via UCAS or contact with the Widening Access Team. The scholarship is available across a wide range of subjects including engineering, business, sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Applications are submitted through an online application form with a deadline of 13 June 2026, and successful applicants will be contacted with outcomes in mid-August 2026.
