NAIT Athletic Scholarship - Barbara Hanson General Athletic Award - Fall

The Barbara Hanson General Athletic Award is an athletic scholarship available to full-time students who are members of varsity teams at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). The scholarship recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate both athletic excellence and academic achievement. Recipients must maintain an academic requirement of at least 63% or greater in the previous semester and/or upon entrance to NAIT. The award amount varies and is disbursed in two increments in January and May, contingent upon maintaining academic standing. Awards are disbursed in increments of $500, up to full tuition and mandatory fees. The scholarship is for one year and may be renewed annually depending on continued progress through the recipient's program and continuation on the team. Recipients are selected at the discretion of NAIT's Department of Athletics and Recreation in collaboration with coaching staff, based on acceptance into the program and acceptance onto a NAIT intercollegiate team.
