NAIT Athletic Scholarship - Barbara Hanson General Athletic Award - Winter

The Barbara Hanson General Athletic Award is an athletic scholarship available to full-time students who are members of all varsity teams at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT). This award recognizes student-athletes who maintain strong academic performance while participating in intercollegiate athletics. Recipients must have achieved at least 63% or greater in their previous semester and/or upon entrance to NAIT. The award is disbursed in two increments in January and May, contingent upon the student maintaining academic standing. Awards are made by NAIT coaching staff based on acceptance into the program and acceptance onto a NAIT intercollegiate team. The scholarship is renewable annually depending on continued progress through the student's program and continuation on the team. The award amount varies and is disbursed in increments of $500, up to full tuition and mandatory fees. Recipients are selected at the discretion of the Department of Athletics and Recreation at NAIT.
