About this opportunity
The Nan and Margaret-Ann Armour WISEST Participant Scholarship is awarded on the basis of superior academic achievement to a student entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Science at the University of Alberta who has participated in the WISEST Summer Research Program. Recipients are selected based on their Grade 11 and/or Grade 12 final marks. The scholarship is renewable for a second year, contingent upon the recipient achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a minimum of 24 credits over the most recent September to April period in the Faculty of Science. This endowed scholarship was established by Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour on the occasion of her retirement in honor of her mother, Nan, to support women in science, engineering, and technology through the WISEST program.
