About This Opportunity

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity focuses on developing long-term, consistent, and calibrated land surface temperature and emissivity data products valid across multiple missions and satellite sensors. The successful candidate will assist with producing a unified low earth observation LST-ESDR at 1 km spatial resolution and a unified land surface emissivity product by combining multiple data sources. The unified products will benefit numerous applications and will be evaluated in evapotranspiration models and improved atmospheric retrieval schemes.
