NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship - Astrophysics: Time-Domain Astronomy

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity focuses on time-domain astronomy research using the Swift satellite and ground-based facilities like the Zwicky Transient Facility to study the dynamic sky. Research areas include tidal disruption flares as probes of accretion physics, super-luminous supernovae, electromagnetic counterparts to gravitational wave events, and fast radio bursts. The fellowship is based at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland, under the advisement of Dr. Brad Cenko.
