About this opportunity
The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity focuses on phenomenological cosmology, addressing salient issues such as the nature of dark energy and dark matter, the origin and evolution of large-scale structures, and the details of the ionization history of the Universe. The NPP post-doctoral scholar will conduct independent research relevant to current and future potential NASA missions such as SPHEREx, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, and Euclid, and articulate their scientific synergies with on-going ground-based efforts such as the Vera C. Rubin Observatory, the Simons Observatory, or CMB-S4. The position is located at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, under the advisorship of Dr. Olivier Doré.
