About This Opportunity

The NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP) offers unique research opportunities to highly-talented scientists to engage in ongoing NASA research projects at a NASA Center, NASA Headquarters, or at a NASA-affiliated research institute. These one- to three-year fellowships are competitive and are designed to advance NASA's missions in space science, Earth science, aeronautics, space operations, exploration systems, and astrobiology. This specific opportunity focuses on developing experimental approaches to fundamental questions in cosmology, specifically state-of-the-art instrumentation to study the Cosmic Microwave Background. The research involves developing large format antenna-coupled TES bolometer arrays for BICEP Array that operates at the South Pole, and developing new approaches to both time-domain and radio frequency-domain multiplexing, as well as Thermal Kinetic Inductance Detectors (TKIDs). The postdoctoral researcher will have opportunities to play a leading role in developing these technologies at JPL's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California.
