NASN Elmer Hawkins Affiliate Membership Recruitment Scholarship

The NASN Elmer Hawkins Affiliate Membership Recruitment Scholarship promotes membership recruitment by NASN affiliates. Established in 2001 and combined with the NASN Affiliate Membership Award (founded in 1973) in 2014, this scholarship honors Mr. Elmer Hawkins, a National Education Association director who was instrumental in helping school nurses form an affiliate organization. Eligible affiliates that demonstrate a 10% increase in membership during the twelve-month period ending March 31 are automatically entered into a random drawing held in April. The scholarship provides up to $1,500 to assist the winning affiliate in sending a member to the NASN annual conference, covering expenses for registration, travel, and lodging. The winning affiliate selects the person(s) who will attend the conference.
