About This Opportunity

The NDSEG Fellowship Program is a highly competitive fellowship sponsored by the Department of Defense (DoD) that provides full funding to U.S. citizens and nationals pursuing doctoral degrees in science and engineering fields of military importance. Since its inception, over 4,700 fellowships have been awarded from more than 70,000 applications received. The program aims to increase the number of U.S. citizens trained in disciplines of science and engineering relevant to military applications, while developing continuing relationships between recipients and the sponsoring military services. The fellowship supports graduate students pursuing doctorates in DoD mission-related research areas at U.S. institutions. Each military service is responsible for mentoring and interacting with its selected awardees, creating valuable professional connections. The program attracts science and engineering baccalaureate graduates to pursue advanced degrees that align with defense research priorities.
