About This Opportunity

The National Influencing Programme supports charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) seeking to influence and achieve change in national policy and practice around specific issues. The programme focuses on three priority themes: social security system, accommodation, and refugees and asylum seekers. These themes were chosen based on evidence from small and local charities and are areas where there are significant barriers to overcome and where change is needed the most. Rising living costs and economic, political and policy challenges are making it harder for people facing complex issues, as the systems designed to support them are not fit for purpose and risk pushing them further into hardship and destitution. The programme is particularly interested in proposals led by or actively developed with user groups and/or people with direct lived experience of the relevant issues. This programme supported organizations working directly or with others to influence those in power to tackle the causes and consequences of complex issues and the barriers people face. Note: This was a one-off funding programme and is now closed.
