About this opportunity

The Navigator North Offshore Wind Gippsland Scholarships are offered by Federation University Australia in partnership with Navigator North Offshore Wind, a collaboration between Origin and RES developing an offshore wind farm off the coast of Gippsland in Bass Strait. The scholarships provide $5,000 to support students in the Gippsland region pursuing higher education. Four scholarships are available annually for both domestic and international students, whether new or continuing, enrolled in Bachelor, Honours, or Postgraduate programs. The scholarship particularly supports the offshore wind project's commitment to the community, with the wind farm expected to power around half a million homes and avoid approximately 1.28 million tonnes of carbon emissions annually. Preference is given to women/female students, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students, and those enrolled in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) courses, aligning with the region's growing renewable energy sector.
