NCCCS Glaxo SmithKline Early Childhood Teacher Preparation and Residency Scholarship

The NCCCS Glaxo SmithKline Early Childhood Teacher Preparation and Residency Scholarship awards scholarships to students enrolled in various early childhood education certificate programs at North Carolina Community Colleges. This scholarship assists students enrolled or enrolling in Early Childhood teacher certificate programs where courses do not fit into an eligible two-year degree program, do not meet clock-to-credit hours conversion requirements, or may not be Title IV aid eligible. The scholarship is available to students pursuing certificates in Early Childcare Workforce, Infant/Toddler Care, School-Age Care, Early Childhood Administration, Early Childhood Preschool, and Elementary Education Residency Licensure. Individual colleges may establish their own criteria and award students for the scholarship, as well as their own scholarship committees to select recipients. Colleges may use the FAFSA to determine need or establish alternative means to determine eligibility, though FAFSA completion is recommended but not required for students.
