About This Opportunity

The Near Eastern Archaeology Foundation Grant-in-Aid provides financial support of up to $5,000 to assist eligible candidates to pursue research in the archaeology of Egypt, Cyprus or Western Asia. This grant-in-aid is available to Honours students, higher degree students, and post-doctoral early career researchers who are affiliated with Australian or New Zealand universities. The scholarship is designed to support specific research project expenses and support which can be planned for prior to spending. Preference is given to applicants experiencing financial disadvantage. The grant will be awarded based on academic merit, the letter of application, curriculum vitae, detailed budget, and a reference from one academic referee. For enrolled students, the reference must be from their academic supervisor. The scholarship value will be paid as a lump sum payment upon receipt of the Scholarship Acceptance Form.
