About this opportunity

This fellowship is awarded to graduate students in the College of Engineering & Applied Science (CEAS) at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who are enrolled in a program leading to a graduate degree with a concentration in biomedical health informatics (BHI). The award supports students pursuing advanced education in this interdisciplinary field that combines healthcare, informatics, and engineering. A preference will be granted to students who demonstrate commitment to fostering gender equity in engineering professions. Applicants must respond to supplemental questions addressing their journey to the BHI PhD program, how they will benefit society and enhance gender equality, and how the award would help them through the degree program, including conference travel and research expenses.
