About this opportunity
The Never Forgotten Scholarship was established in 2001 by iHeartMedia, Inc. (formerly Clear Channel) at The Denver Foundation to honor the lives of the 13 victims at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999. This scholarship is available to high school teachers in the 7-county Metro Denver area who have taught for at least one full school year and have a strong record of school and community involvement. The scholarship supports teachers enrolled in or planning to enroll in degree-seeking programs or college-level classes at accredited colleges or universities. It is hoped that the recipients of this scholarship will carry on the legacy of the Columbine victims by making a positive and lasting impact in the world. Applications are reviewed based on essay responses, community engagement and leadership, academic performance, and references. The scholarship provides $5,000 that can be used toward tuition, fees, required books and supplies, and other qualified educational expenses, paid directly to the recipient's post-secondary institution.
