About this opportunity
The New Colombo Plan (NCP) Scholarship is an initiative of the Australian Government that aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia and strengthen relationships through study and work placement in the region. The NCP Scholarship provides an opportunity for high achieving undergraduate students to undertake study, internships, and language training in the Indo-Pacific region. The scholarship supports Australian undergraduate students to spend between 3 and 19 months studying, completing internships, and undertaking language training in Indo-Pacific locations. Students must be nominated by their home university to apply, and the program seeks students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership and community engagement, adaptability and resilience, and the ability to contribute to the NCP's strategic objectives. The scholarship provides comprehensive support including monthly stipends and allowances to enable meaningful engagement with the Indo-Pacific region.
