NASN New Member Scholarship

The NASN New Member Scholarship is awarded to school nurses who join the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) for the first time. All new members joining between April 1st and March 31st are automatically entered into a random drawing for a conference scholarship with no application required. Two scholarships are awarded annually: one scholarship of up to $1,500 to attend the in-person annual conference (covering registration, travel, and lodging expenses), and one scholarship to participate in the virtual conference. This scholarship was established in 2001 to recognize new members joining NASN for the first time and to support their attendance at the annual conference. The virtual conference scholarship was added in 2024. The purpose is to promote NASN membership by presenting annual scholarships, which helps attract new members and results in greater revenue, visibility, and influence for the organization.
