About this opportunity
The New Zealand Medical Women's Association Elective Award was established in 2005 by the New Zealand Medical Women's Association and replaces the NZMWA Auckland Branch award which has been funded annually since the 1970s. The main purpose of the Award is to assist a woman enrolled in the final year of an MBChB to undertake an elective that focuses on the health of women and children. This award supports women students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents enrolled in Part VI of the MBChB undertaking an elective with a specific focus on women's and children's health. The award provides financial assistance of $1,200 for one year to help support the selected recipient in their elective studies. One award is offered annually, opening for applications in August each year.
