About this opportunity

The New Zealand Medical Women's Association Elective Award was established in 2005 by the New Zealand Medical Women's Association, replacing the NZMWA Auckland Branch award which has been funded annually since the 1970s. The main purpose of the Award is to assist a woman enrolled in the final year of an MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) to undertake an elective that focuses on the health of women and children. This award supports women students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents enrolled in Part VI of the MBChB program at the University of Auckland. It provides financial assistance of $1,200 to help cover costs associated with undertaking an elective focused on women's and children's health issues.
