Newmont Mining Engineering Scholarship

The Newmont Mining Engineering Scholarship is awarded to domestic students commencing undergraduate or honours study in engineering at The University of Queensland. The scholarship provides $10,000 per year for up to 3 years to support students pursuing specializations in any field of engineering (excluding biomedical engineering). This scholarship was established in 2011 and is maintained by an annual gift from Newmont Australia. Selection is based on academic achievement, strength of interest in the relevant engineering field, and personal and leadership qualities. Preference is given to women applicants. Recipients must be enrolled full-time and declare their specialization or major before their second year of study.
