About This Opportunity

The Newport and District Agricultural Society (NDAS) Scholarship is a competitive award valued at £1,500 for students at Harper Adams University. It is open to Year 2 and Year 4 BSc, BEng, MEng and Final Year FdSc students enrolled in full-time education. Previous recipients of this scholarship are not eligible to apply. The successful scholar will be awarded membership of the Newport and District Agricultural Society for 12 months and will be required to give a presentation at the Society's AGM in the academic year in which the scholarship was awarded (normally held in January). The Society will invite the successful scholar to attend the Newport Show and have mutually agreed involvement in its planning and organisation. They are encouraged to develop a long-term relationship with the Society. The award will be paid in two equal parts: half to be paid in February 2026 and the remaining balance in May 2026. This is a competitive award which will be evaluated on the merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and interview. Students who represent another Society are not eligible to apply.
