Newport News Shipbuilding Scholarship

The Newport News Shipbuilding Scholarship is funded by Virginia Tech and awarded to undergraduate students in the Pamplin College of Business. The scholarship supports students who are enrolled full-time and are rising sophomores, rising juniors, or rising seniors with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and in good standing at Virginia Tech. Recipients must demonstrate leadership qualities through involvement with school programs or clubs and show interest in internship opportunities in the maritime industry. This scholarship recognizes students pursuing business education with connections to the maritime and shipbuilding sectors. The award may be renewed for up to 3 years at the same amount if students remain within the College of Business and maintain a GPA of at least 2.5. Changes in funding may cause Virginia Tech to replace this award with another award for the same amount.
