About This Opportunity

This scholarship has been established to provide financial assistance to Masters by Research or PhD students to undertake research in one of the priority research areas of the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre (CTC) at the University of Sydney. The scholarship offers stipend support for full-time or part-time postgraduate research students conducting research aligned with the NHMRC CTC's priority areas. Recipients must have an unconditional offer of admission or be currently enrolled in a Masters by Research or PhD program at the University of Sydney, with a primary supervisor who is an academic staff member of the NHMRC CTC. The scholarship aims to support the next generation of clinical trials researchers working in areas of national health priority. Full-time recipients receive either the NHMRC Medical/Dental stipend rate or NHMRC Priority stipend rate per annum depending on their qualifications, while part-time recipients receive 50 percent of the stipend rate. The duration varies from 1.75 to 4 EFTSL years depending on the degree program and time already enrolled. Successful applicants must be willing to conduct research in NHMRC CTC priority areas and possess the prerequisite skills required for their selected research project.
