About this opportunity

The NHS Scholarship is a prestigious award program offered by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) since 1946. The program has awarded more than $30 million in scholarships to outstanding National Honor Society seniors over its history. Currently, the program awards $2 million in scholarships to 600 students annually. Recipients are selected based on their demonstration of the four pillars of NHS: Scholarship, Service, Leadership, and Character. The top 25 scholarship finalists receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, DC along with their advisers. To be eligible, applicants must be high school seniors expecting to receive a diploma during the current academic year, active members in good standing of a National Honor Society chapter, NHS student account holders verified by their chapter adviser, and planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college or university, military institute, or trade school. There are no limits to the number of applicants per chapter.
