Nic Tower Memorial Scholarship

The Tower family established this scholarship fund in 2017 in honor of their son Nic. Nic had a lifelong love of learning, from teaching himself to read before kindergarten, to obtaining his chemical engineering degree at the University of Washington, to finally becoming a shift test nuclear engineer near the end of his life. On the way he had friends from all walks of life and a zeal for helping other people. Nic wanted to make the world a better place. The Tower family hopes that this scholarship will provide the opportunity for a student to reach his or her own goals and hopefully relieve some of the financial burden. This scholarship is available to graduating seniors or past graduates of Cascade High School who will be attending a trade or vocational school, a two- or four-year college or university, or graduate school on a full- or part-time basis. Applicants must have a GPA between 2.5-3.5, demonstrate financial need and potential for success. Renewal is possible for recipients, who must reapply and compete with new applicants.
