Nicco Rothe Memorial Golden Bear Hockey Award

The Nicco Rothe Memorial Golden Bear Hockey Award is presented to students with satisfactory academic standing who are entering, transferring, or continuing in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at the University of Alberta and are members of the Golden Bears Hockey Team. The award recognizes excellence in both academic performance and hockey achievement. Special preference is given to individuals who demonstrate characteristics similar to those possessed by Nicco Rothe, particularly those who put the needs of others ahead of their own. Additional preference is given to goaltenders on the team. This endowed award was established by the friends and family of Nicco Rothe to honor his memory and the values he embodied.
