About this opportunity
The Niedermaier Scholarship is an entrance award offered by the University of Saskatchewan to support incoming undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Established by donor John Niedermaier (BE'63), this scholarship provides a minimum of $2,000 to one recipient annually. The scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate both academic achievement and financial need.
Preference is given to students who have graduated from the high school district in which Pierceland, Saskatchewan resides. If no candidates are found from this district, second preference is given to students who have graduated from Living Sky School Division #202 or Lloydminster School Division #99 (or their successors). If no candidates meet these geographic preferences, the award may be opened to continuing students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree.
Applicants must demonstrate financial need and are selected based on a combination of academic achievement and financial need. The scholarship helps ease the financial burden for engineering students beginning their undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan.
