About This Opportunity

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is funding places on the MSc Applied Health and Care Research course within the Centre for Health and Service Studies (CHSS) at the University of Kent. This scholarship is designed for current healthcare professionals, providing them with the skills to design, carry out and publish health and care research. The program is specifically for nurses, midwives, social workers, social care workers, local authority workers, or allied health professionals working in the NHS, local authorities, or social care, voluntary and community settings with a maximum of 5 years practice post registration. The two-year part-time course includes six taught modules, covering core research methods in qualitative, quantitative, and applied health and care research and evaluation, along with optional modules and a 60-credit research dissertation. The scholarship covers tuition fees at the home rate and provides an annual stipend at the UKRI rate.
