About this opportunity
The Nikos Steiropoulos Postgraduate Scholarship was established by MSD Animal Health UK, in memory of Mr Nikos Steiropoulos, Associate Director and Head of Aquaculture for MSD Animal Health UK. The scholarship offers a full fee waiver to a strong candidate who demonstrates their aims and ambitions within the field of Aquaculture and why they want to study at the Institute of Aquaculture at the University of Stirling.
The award will be given to a student who will join MSc Aquatic Pathobiology, MSc Aquatic Veterinary Studies or MSc Sustainable Aquaculture in September 2025. As part of the award, students will present a report of their activity and findings to the funders of the award (MSD Animal Health UK). There will be further opportunities to interact with MSD Animal Health to obtain insights into their R&D and commercial activities, as well as for networking and building connections that can enhance their career in the future.
The scholarship provides an excellent opportunity to develop skills and career within Aquaculture. Applicants must have a minimum of 2:2 honours degree and an offer of a place for one of the three eligible MSc programs. Students must be based on the Stirling campus for the course of study, as distance learning is not permitted for this award.
