Ninja Kiwi Scholarship

The £1,500 Ninja Kiwi Scholarship is a one-year award for students entering Year 4 of specified undergraduate Games degrees at Abertay University. This scholarship is aimed at well-rounded individuals who are academically bright, driven, ambitious and interested in a career in the games industry. The scholarship is available for students studying Computer Arts, Computer Game Applications Development, Computer Games Technology, or Game Design and Production. The successful candidate will also undertake a four-week paid work placement at Ninja Kiwi's Dundee offices. During the placement, the candidate will join one of the Ninja Kiwi development teams, depending on their experience and course of study. There are opportunities to work in various areas of the organization including game development teams, marketing, and extra tools. The placement will take place at the end of May or early June 2026. Applicants must be starting Year 4 of one of the eligible games courses at the Abertay campus in Dundee, and must be available for the four-week paid work placement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview, likely taking place in February 2026. Award recipients will be expected to write a letter of thanks, meet with Ninja Kiwi representatives, and participate in promotional activities relating to the scholarship.
