About this opportunity
The Norah and Calvin Banks Indigenous Leadership Award in the Sciences is offered to Indigenous students at the University of Victoria. One or more awards are given annually to undergraduate or graduate Indigenous students in the Faculty of Science, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, or School of Environmental Studies. The award recognizes Indigenous leadership in science-related fields and provides financial support to students pursuing their studies. Graduate students may apply via the online graduate scholarship application between July 1st and September 15th, while undergraduate students must apply by May 31st. Selection of recipients is made by the Senate Committee on Awards or the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Awards Committee upon recommendation of the Director of the Office of Indigenous Academic and Community Engagement (IACE) in consultation with the deans of the relevant faculties.
