The Nordkap Lodge 3-215 Scholarship honors the legacy of a historic Sons of Norway lodge founded in 1921 in Baltimore, Maryland. This scholarship was created through proceeds from the lodge's Norse Park property and the dedication of lodge members over a century. The scholarship provides up to $2,000 to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing higher education, with a preference for those studying in the medical field. Recipients must be current Sons of Norway members or children/grandchildren of current members. The scholarship celebrates Nordic culture and heritage while supporting educational advancement. Recipients are expected to share their scholarship experience by giving a presentation at a local Sons of Norway lodge event, fostering community engagement and connection to Norwegian heritage.
