About This Opportunity

The Norman J. Kennedy Memorial Scholarship for Choral Performance was established in memory of Norman J. Kennedy (1905-1970) in recognition of the contribution he made to the musical life in the City of Calgary. The scholarship is offered annually to a continuing undergraduate student in the Faculty of Arts, Bachelor of Music program. The award recognizes both academic merit and participation and contribution to choral performance or choral conducting. The scholarship provides up to $2,500 annually to support one student pursuing their undergraduate music degree with a focus on choral performance or conducting. This award is administered by the University of Calgary and was established by Mrs. Doris Kennedy in honor of her late husband.
